Stone Town Day Trip

The stone town tour is one among the attractive and historical tour which include Slave trade in East Africa which operated by the Sultan of Zanzibar until 1873 when was abolished by Missionaries from England by signing special agreement between Sultan of Zanzibar and Missionaries from England to build the tower of Sultan Palace should be higher than the tower of Anglican Church which was belong to the Missionaries.

During this tour , will get opportunity to walk through in the world heritage site which include Anglican cathedral Church which was built on the site of former slave market, old fish market , old fort which was built by the Portuguese in 1698, Forodhani food market ,  old British Club which was built  by the British and no women allowed during that time , the Club was changed its original name to Africa House for the purpose of men and women can go and enjoy their drinks, leisure and sunset , then walking into narrow street in stone town where you can see the old carving doors attached in old buildings in stone town. The tour will maximum take 3hours to be done.

Safari Blue Adventures

08:00am – You shall be picked up from the hotel for safari blue. The original and the best , ˹Safari Blue˺ is  a full – day excursion  using locally made traditional sailing dhows of between 8 to 10 metres in length ,carrying up to 22 passengers plus crew .These passenger – carrying dhows are fitted with outboard engines ,marine VHF radios, gas inflatable life jackets, sunshade, boarding ladder ,waterproof ,bags and first aid kit with DAN oxygen unit.

The excursion starts at the fishing village of Fumba ,30minutes drive from Stone Town .Fumba is situated in the southwest corner  of the an island and is an ideal starting point to explore Menai Bay, designated a conservation Area. The bay has a number of beautiful, uninhabited  ,island and sandbanks and is often frequented by humpback and bottlenose dolphins.

On arrival at Fumba you are gives a briefing and a life jacket demo .You the dhows and set off to explore the bay and search for the dolphins. Dolphins have been spotted at least 85% of these of these trips .Later in the morning stops on a sandbank. Guides, who can safely lead the snorkeling session and show points  interest ,accompany you .For beginners or those who are not confidence swimmers ,there are inflatable snorkeling vests and the guides can give tuition .After snorkeling sample a fresh green coconut before sailing to another sandbank for lunch .During  the morning a catering boat has gone on ahead to prepare lunch which is served on teak picnic tables set up beneath smart canvas sunshades .Lunch is a traditional Zanzibar meal followed by fruit tasting ,with a selection of different tropical fruit .Coffee and Amarula  liqueur are served after lunch .Cold drinks are available  throughout the day .

When the tide allows, visit a beautiful mangrove lagoon where it is possible to swim through the mangrove forest .Return to Fumba by sail boat arrive bank at 6pm, in time to see the colorful African sunset .

There are no formal changing facilities at Fumba so please wear you swimming things under your clothes .Bring waterproof shoes for boarding the dhows and bring towels, sunscreen and a spare T- short for snorkeling.

The tours includes:- Return transfers, A buffet seafood lunch comprising (subject to availability), Slipper lobster, Two types of grilled fish, Chicken, Grilled calamari, Vegetable /non – dishes by prior request, Rice, Two sauces – tomato with tamarind and coconut with coriander, Large selection of tropical fruit (10-15 types), Beverages: soft drinks mineral water and beer, Coffee and Amarula liqueur.

1700hrs –Back from the tour and transferring back to the hotel.

Spice & Heritage Tour

Pick from the hotel at 09h00 and driving to Dr. Livingstone house which build by the Sultan of Zanzibar and given to Dr David Livingstone during his trip to Zanzibar when was trying to stop slave trade , then heading to Maruhubi Palace ruins which was one among the beautiful Palace in Zanzibar and used for keeping 99 harems as secondary wives for Sultan Said Bargash Bin Said , we also have time to visit local Dhow building which used to be main transport of Zanzibari people traveling to Dar Es Salaam, Pemba , Tanga , Mombasa , Lamu and far Eastern Countries used by monsoon Wind , also used for fishing by local fisherman , after then driving to the Middle of the Island for spice farm where we can find different types of spices growing in Zanzibar such as nutmeg , Vanilla , cloves , cardamom , black paper, ginger , lemon grass , lipstick tree and taste some of tropical fruits including Pineapple , jack fruit, coconut , mangos , oranges , casted apple, star fruits and  afternoon driving to Mangapwani slave cave and slave chamber where the number of were kept when slave trade was abolished in 1873 in stone town and continued illegally until 1907. The tour end at 15h00 and driving to the hotel for evening leisure and overnight

Jozani Forest Tour

Taking drive to the National forest reserve at Jozani where the red colobus Monkey are based, these forest is divided into three departments , Natural forest department where there are Mahogany trees, ruphia trees , Australian pain tree and others , the second department is where there are Indian almond trees here is where the red monkey are found and that trees are the best food of the said monkey ,the third department is to drive to the Mangrove forest where we can find different types of mangroves and some of Cray fish , including humit crab, coconut crab and other marine life .

Dolphin Adventure Tour

Leaving at 06h00 from the hotel and driving to the north east of Zanzibar Island ( Munyuni ) where we are taking a boat ride to Mnemba Island marine conservation area for swimming with Dolphins , after enjoying swimming with dolphin we then to the corral for snorkeling to see the beauty of corral and colorful fish who are playing in the corral.

This tour is included fruits, soft drinks, snorkeling equipment, boat and minae conservation fees

The North Coast Tour

Take a full-day tour of Zanzibar’s history and culture, starting from your hotel at 9:00 am. Visit Dr. David Livingstone House, Maruhubi Palace Ruins, Mangapwani Slave Cave, Mkokotoni Fish Market, Fukuchani Portuguese Ruins, and Nungwi Village. See dhow building, giant tortoises, and relax on the beach. The tour includes entrance fees, lunch, guide, and leisure. Return to the hotel before sunset at 16:30.

Visit Prison Island

Prison Island ( Changuu  Island ) is a small island 5.6 km (3.5 mi) northwest of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar, Tanzania. The island is around 800 m (2,600 ft) long and 230 m (750 ft) wide at its broadest point. The island saw use as a prison for rebellious slaves in 1860s and also functioned as a coral mine.

The British First Minister of Zanzibar, Lloyd Mathews, purchased the island in 1893 and constructed a prison complex there. No prisoners were ever housed on the island and instead it became a quarantine station with hospital for leprosy disease . The station was only occupied for around half of the year and then changed for tourist attraction and leisure destination. After then , the island has become a Government-owned tourist resort and houses a collection of endangered Aldabra giant tortoises which were originally from the Seychelles Island.

In the Island you can also find some Peacock , suni Antilopes, humit crabs and nice clean water for swimming
